2 Technics 1200 Turntables, 1 Vestax PMC Pro 05 Mixer(both in the coffin), Final Scratch II and my Dell Laptop... With my setup, I can take triple the amount of songs with me anywhere anytime, with no hastle. It beats luggin' crate after crate! Fuck that, lol! I even make records with things on them I like scratchin' on. I've made a few actually. I call them "The Deojae Scratch Selection." My setup is the shit! lol

I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. I lived there my whole life, until 2003. I lived in Minnesota for 3 and a half years attending a radio broadcasting college. I now live in Tennessee where I work in a factory makin' good money. In regards to my skills... I've been a serious DJ since I was 12 years old. My momma say I started when I was 9 years old, lol. Hip-Hop has always been a way of life for me. Music in general has actually. I didn't just start you know; I ain't new to this! I won a little DJ Battle back in '96, still got the trophy. It was the first 'Official' DJ contest I entered. I battled other DJ's outside of such events, and never lost - Ever! I use to battle anywhere there was turntables and some Cat on 'em! When I use to battle, the battles were total blow out victories, one sided as hell! My aim was their complete visual embarrasement and destruction. I went for the kill everytime! I would even point out they 'mistakes'! My turn on the tables before or after whoever, I would go completely flawless! And then talk big junk to 'em! Man, I crushed egos. The DJ's were good too, I was just Light-Years ahead of them. A brawl erupted once. If you would of seen it... I don't advocate violence either... It just happened. I use to have an ego the size of jupiter, when I was a battle DJ. They call it Turntablism now. Man I use to brag all the time. Deep down, I still love bragggin'. You should have seen me then. I was scratchin' with shoes, my shoulders, elbows, stomach, my back and my feet... Other cats was just gettin' they feet 'wet'! That was the early 90's. I rocked the hell out of some shows! People was talkin' about what I did many years later like it just happened. I appreciated the kind words from those who witnessed my Battle Era. This was when I was in a Rap group. That was my thing as a group member, to show my ass! My group would rap, then I would snap. I made the beats too. Times have changed though. I'm still undefeated as a Battle DJ. I'm no longer in a Rap group. I Rap myself now, I always did. I just let my MC's do it for me. I still practice my Battle Tricks. But now, I'm much more into the Remix aspects of the DJ game. Scratchin' made me want to be a DJ. It made me! Battlin' was a natural evolutionary step in my process. My Remixes are competitive in how I go about executing them. I even Remix songs that people are familar with so they can see what I've done creatively and skill-wise. Mess around and I'll post an Elvis Remix, flipped with The Beatles... And it'll be dope! I think very highly of my abilties, always have.
I'm currently Re-training myself from the ground up. I want to be the #1 DJ to every listener. I've done every style, and I've done every style well. I was doin' Techno and House when it first came out. I was even in a Jazz Band for 3 and a half years (The Pat Cronley Group). I ultimately want to DJ in the clubs and on the radio stations. The more people hear me, the better. I live for the crowd! I started out as a DJ in front of crowds in my Grandma's garage growing up. I'm fearless! I want my skill as a DJ to go on worldwide display for all listeners and viewers. Being a DJ is my true joy in life. Rappin' and create beats is the other. See Deojae.20m.com... Its a free website that I personally created. You can see my DJ equipment and learn a few more things about me not mentioned here. You can check me out at 'Myspace.com/rapperdoom' too.
