Blog Entry: OPEN ARTICLE ABOUT DEEJAY BARRY. Deejay Barry real name is Barry Carew. Deejay Barry grew up in Central Florida and was truly thrown into the DJ and music business by family at a very young age by attending events and shows. As a young DJ he played lots of smaller underground events and house party's. One day at a small event a producer came to Deejay Barry and told him that his energy and style on the turntables made for one of the best nights he had in years. Deejay Barry didn't think much of it. The man turned out to be the director of production and entertainment at PLEASURE ISLAND owned by Disney. Deejay Barry started playing shows at "PI" spinning shows for all the biggest acts. He then was soon solicited by the Daytona Club Owners. Deejay Barry would host the mic and spin some of the biggest MTV Spring Break Party's in Daytona Beach. This is where he met his best friend and partner Dj Skribble for the first time. Deejay Barry (aka Deejay Fusion) always stayed humble knowing soon he was going to shock everyone. One afternoon Deejay Barry sent out a mass email/letter telling all his friends and family he would be leaving Florida to join the US ARMY. You see Deejay Barry attended a Military Academy and had many Basketball Scholarships lined up. So many people thought for sure Barry would leave the Military academy out of state and stay in Florida and play ball and continue to DJ. But he did not. Deejay Barry joined the Army and served his country proudly until being retired honorably. During his time in the Army Deejay Barry got to spin music all over the country and created a very large military fan base. After getting out of the Army Deejay Barry with the help of great friends built the Killeen and Central Texas Dance Music and open format scene. The first club he opened was called The Frat House. Deejay Barry played with all of the industries top dj's. After a very sucessful run with The Frat House Deejay Barry Opened Club Fusion. Central Texas Biggest and most successful Dance club. Deejay Barry has opened and consulted seven nightclubs and is a landlord of several club properties. Deejay Barry over the last few years has been focused on remixing music and creating original music. He invested in several businesses but has refocused all attention on what he does best, ROCKING CROWDS! He has become a very well known event host and hypeman, as well as appeared on several nationally released tracks. Deejay Barry and Dj Skribble currently tour the world together and Deejay Barry opens and hypes each Dj Skribble show he can. Dj Skribble, Dj Slynkee, and Deejay Barry are currently touring the "Schools in Session" Drummer/DJ/Hypeman show and it is getting big time exposure. Later this year Dj Skribble and Deejay Barry are performing for the USO in IRAQ, as well as working on several events to help raise money for soldiers families. Deejay Barry has established himself as the top DJ in Central Texas as well as one of the biggest DJ's in Texas. Deejay Barry plays everything from Hip-Hop/Open Format Rock and Mash Ups to Club banging Electro House and breaks. His style is one of energy and excitement.
