Dj Playaround has been interested in electronic music since the first time he heard it when he was young in the '80's. Song from the likes of Salt & Pepper, Aha's "Take on me" and later on U96 with Das Boat made a big impact on him and his interest for electronic music never stopped. It only shifted from time to time from the more harder stuff to more melodic music. Still his dj sets will always have an uplifting feel and will rock dance floors everywhere.

DJ Playaround plays groovy uplifting vocal house, Chicago house, Detroit, deep techno, acid techno and rocking electro on vinyl. With his collection of records, which he collected in more than ten years, he is able to play long vinyl dj-sets with a great dj-style, which will suit almost any kind of dance-party.

After graduating commercial economics in februari 2007 and playing records 10 years for fun at small parties, local pubs and small venues (like de Boemerang, Loveboat, Vaaghuijzen, TWSTD, Tetra, Bar Concept, Prik and Club 8) DJ Playaround decided that is was time to take his career one step further for the love of making and playing music. He's now busy organizing dance events (www.myspace.com/mixuploadamsterdam & www.freakinstyle.hyves.nl) and making some dynamite tracks. The last two tracks on this page are made in 2001 with Reason 1 and the basic samples. His production work needs some attention and he's working on that one.

The underground party he organizes is called Freak in Style! The first episode of this party was held in Club 8 Amsterdam on the 20th of July 2007 and will be held again in the near future.

And remember these mixes are made with a 10 year old bad mixer and a belt drive Soundlab TT which is affecting the soundquality and the mixing. I need my money for other things. In a Club with good gear my mixes will sound much better. Will upload more recordings of live events in near future.
