I always had a thing for electronic music for as long as I can remember. When most kids were listening to Metallica I was grooving with Blackbox and OMD. After high school I finally decided to learn the trade and maybe start spinning at local clubs on part-time basis, So I asked around and finally realize that there were no classes or schools where you can learn DJing. However, I was lucky that a buddy of mine was a working DJ. He guided me along and taught me the most essential basics. The rest was up to me!
I was a quick learner and in no time i was working poart-time as an apprentice at a local joint. In less than six months I was hired as a resident spinning Techno before a crowd of about one hundred people. I accepted myself as a DJ after that night.
In the beginning, i had to admit, i was quite lost in the world of dance music. But eventually found myself in Trance. The way this music moves me in my earlier days when trance was just starting to part from under the shadow of techno. I would have to say the late 90's were the golden days of Trance. And with great DJ/Producers experimenting on different styles through the years I am happy that Trance music has matured to its current form. Incorporating the good elements of other genres and setting this music style apart from others.
Trance today has the right emotion, style and class to give each individual track a soul. Trance is not just a music genre but a way of life.
