Major PERFORMANCE Increase in Windows )all versions including Vista-shit)
hey i noticed an 80% performance increase on my 5200 x2 AMD system. it works on all platforms. first you need to buy at least a 2gb usb flash drive (no readyboost B.S.) preferably a 4gb one.
then got to control panel and system. then click on the ADVANCED TAB, click on settings in the PERFORMANCE section, click on ADVANCED TAB again, go to CHANGE for virtual memory. next on your windows drive (should be C , click on NO PAGING FILE, then set. note after this DO NOT RESTART MACHINE, click ok. then you want to click on the usb flash drive, whatever letter it might be on your system. Click on custom size. THE INITIAL SHOULD BE SET AT THE BARE MINIMUM OF 1024, THEN MAXIMUM SHOULD BE WHATEVER THE MAX SIZE OF YOUR USB FLASH DRIVE (after of course formatting it to get all the bull shit off it), minimal 2 gb remember 4 gb is best. click set then ok and ok again. and restart.
what this does is switch where the windows page file is. instead of it being on your hdd, which dramatically slows your system down and making your cpu work harder waiting for info to be sent back and forth on yo hdd. it now puts it on a very fast seperate flash drive. please note that a usb flash drive is next fastest thing to your ddr2 system memory.
give it a try and i gaurantee you wont go back LOL figured id try to help everybody with a bit of knowledge.
