I hope you are on a PC and not a mac. The following link for downloading contains two[2] items you want to add to your desktop. These are VH Capture and VH Capture Driver and when installed, they combine to record your desktop and screenshots and when you go to audio/video enabled chat rooms or broadcast web sites like ustream.tv or blog.tv, you can choose to broadcast the actions and audio on your PC desktop.

For podcasting or video broadcasting, I recommend http://www.podomatic.com. This will let you record and upload an mp3 recording to podcast.

FOR more dynamic broadcasts, use ustream.tv. Here is the link to my channel and saved VIDEO broadcasts from the past are available to watch on desktop or in browser.
