For the last 10 years I've been using pioneer cdj's & denon mixers but decided to try a controller. I recently purchased vestax vci 300 & vfx1 bundled with serato itch, the 1st vci 300 broke within an hour of using (just my luck) & had to wait 12 days for a replacement . My initial opinion of this type of format was I didn't like it , it felt very different from cdj's but after adjust the platter sensitivity & tension & crossfader curve it feels much more alive , the layout on the screen is excellent once you understand the overview & file search is fast & easy to use . The vfx 1 unit is awesome when plugged in it opens up the effects segment of serato itch the control factor on the effects is very comprehensive & quality is superb , having never used a usb controller before I can't compare it to others but if anyone is thinking of purchasing one of these I think you would be pleased with quality my only real complaint would be there is no digital out only analogue
