to my understanding a wedding Dj will play whatever you guys want. I fucking hate weddings to tell you the truth because i get asked by all the older crowd to play country and taylor swift and lady gaga and shit like that.

Wedding + que'd songs+ your parents+ formal situation = Wedding Dj
An event dj you want for like the party afterwards to keep people moving or you can get a guy that will do both it shouldnt be a couple hundred more though.
Party+dancing guests+ after wedding = event Dj
