I will be placing links to some of the best free and cheap DJ software around. I will also do my part to make you aware of programs you should not download at any point.

WARNING. DO NOT DOWNLOAD KraMixer. This program contains Adware. If you do not want Adware that will most likely be very hard to remove from your computer do not download from that site.

So here is a small list of programs that I think are dope. Some of them you know. Some of them you don't know.

1. Zulu DJ Software from www.NCH.com or www.NCHSoftware.com. These guys also have a pretty coo' track recording program.

2. Ultra Mixer by www.UltraMixer.com. Great looking software for DJ'ing. Affordable to free.

3. RockiT from www.RockIt2000.com. Free trial. Great layout

4. Mixxx from www.Mixxx.org. Ok layout. I think they have some skins you can download.

5. Virtual DJ at www.virtualDj.com. You all know of this industry software I am sure. If not check it out. Free trial.

6. PCDJ at www.PCDJ.com. One of the creators of computer mixing. They offer a trial version of there software.

This is my list so far but I am going to continue to search and find great DJ mixing software and share with you all.

Here is another program for you I forgot off the list.

7. DSS DJ by www.myxoft.com. Allows a free 30 minute trial. Be sure to check out the terms of agreement though because I have not seen it and am not aware if this software contains adware or any other malware.

I wanted to say something about all these programs and a tip when making your decision. Do not think that you have to buy the most expensive one to get the best sound. That idea is just a crock pot of hot steamin' poo, lol. The free and cheaper software or even less known software is just as good as the industry leading software.

If you take a few minutes to few the software listed you will see that they all generally look the same and do pretty much the same. So the choice is yours. Its just like I may like FORDs and you like Puegots, lol. Its all your choice. Just make sure the software you select is a fit for what you are needing to do as a DJ and make sure your computer meets the system requirements. Thats it.

I did not start this thread at all to start a debate on which software is better.

Ok there, squashed that discussion before it even popped up. :). GET YA' DJ ON.

I think he's talking about just DJ software, whereas FL Studio is more geared towards the producer.

Although I could be wrong!

Traktor's good as you can mix with 3 or 4 decks at the same time, but as far as extra features go it's not that much better than Virtual DJ. If you're happy with what you've got i wouldn't bother paying out for it........ maybe a used version off eBay??
