Hard House, Trance, Vocal Trance, Dance, Techno, DnB, the occasional rap record. Give me a beat with some synth and a chick singing, and I am happy. I have been shopping for some DnB I want to get my hands dirty mixing some of the noisy aggressive stuff maybe some jungle too.

I started out as one of those rocker guys, claiming that techno was lame and all sounds the same...OOPS! I started listening to MarkD broadcasting from the ROXY (Houston) in about 2000 and I haven't looked back! I put my first decks on layaway a couple of months later. Gemini XL500II with a cheesy battle mixer. Thats all I needed. I ran those Gemini's into the ground and a while later scored a pair of Technics from a Pawnshop, only to find out the days of vinyl were basically numbered at least as far as going to a shop and buying some... Took me a couple of years of mixing on and off to finally get some online sources for fresh tracks, and the barebones beginner toolchain for mixing here on my computer.
I am running Sony Acid-because I learned it in 2000 and its price point fit my budget! on a Vaio. I am going to migrate everything to my new Toshiba laptop.
I got my Hercules DJ Console in, this thing is the JAMS! I have been wrecking the one and two non stop since I got it, not only did I pick up where I left off with my 1200's, but I have also tightened up quite a bit. Blame the improvement on the features of the Herc and the graphic info on Virtual DJ-the included software.
I am moving closer to work next month, and will be going exploring for venues! wish me luck!

First Time I ever spun in public was one of those nights where it was like open decks or whatever. Between nerves and not being familiar with LOUD mixing, I probably made a poor showing.
I got to spin at City Streets (Houston)a couple times when I was hanging out their resident DJ DAXX.

Current:Sony Vaio Laptop with Acidstudio7. I just ordered a hercules controller...lets see how that works out...
